As a speaker at literary festivals and conferences, I often present on middle-grade literature, nonfiction, picture books, the ins and outs of the publishing industry, and writing inspiration and process. I frequently lead writing classes and workshops, as well; common class topics include nature writing, writing based on memory, character development, and setting/worldbuilding.
